Ilustration Smartphone in 2023

Various rumors were increasingly blowing when entering January 2023. Several rows of brand names that emerged included Samsung, Xiaomi and Huawei. Meanwhile, for other brands, there are Google Pixel, Apple, and OnePlus.

This is the complete list of smartphones that will be launched in 2023 :

1. Redmi Note 12 Series

Starting in 2023, Pricebook had the opportunity to attend a media gathering event organized by Xiaomi Indonesia with POCO. Through the event, it was revealed that Xiaomi is preparing to launch the Redmi Note 12 Series. Specifically, there have been no leaks regarding the specifications, but from several rumors currently circulating, the Redmi Note 12 Series seems to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1080 processor which is supported by the Mali-G68 graphics processor (GPU).

Regarding the battery, the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ reportedly supports 210W fast charging technology, while the Redmi Note 12 Pro comes with 120W fast charging. The base model of the Redmi Note 12 supports 67W fast charging. The release date of the Redmi Note 12 Series has not yet been announced, but Xiaomi Indonesia has revealed that the latest Redmi series will be present in Indonesia before the third quarter of this year.

2. Samsung Galaxy S23 Series

Samsung is rumored to be launching their newest S series in 2023, especially if it's not the Samsung Galaxy S23 Series which consists of the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Pro and Galaxy S23 Ultra. Interestingly, this latest S series seems to be released in the near future, because the news circulating states that the Samsung Galaxy S23 Series will be launched in February 2023. To what extent this news is true, there has been no official confirmation.

The Samsung Galaxy S23 Series carries qualified specifications in the flagship class with support for a 108 MP main camera for the Ultra model, which will be a tandem front camera with a resolution of 40 MP. For the processor, the Samsung Galaxy S23 Series will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 875, but it is not certain whether the version released in Indonesia also uses Snapdragon or Exynos.

3. Huawei P60 Series

Not wanting to be left behind with its premium cellphone series, Huawei will reportedly launch its newest Huawei P60 Series cellphone in March 2023. For now, rumors say that there are two models for this series, namely the Huawei P60 Pro and Huawei P60 Pro Plus.

Leaked Huawei P60 Series specifications mention HiSilicon Kirin 990 5G processor, 4500 mAh battery, 50 MP main camera with 32 MP front camera, and 8 GB of RAM.

4. Apple iPhone 15 Series

From Asia, we turn to the United States. Apple will launch its newest iPhone this year, and this is no longer just a rumor, because it's almost a certainty. This was confirmed through news from various sources stating that the production phase for the iPhone 15 had already begun.

Like its predecessor, the iPhone 15 will come with several model options consisting of the basic versions of the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. Regarding the Pro Max version, there are rumors that this model will change its name to the iPhone 15 Ultra.

Another rumor that seems to be a surprise for most Apple users today is that the iPhone 15 Series will be equipped with a USB Type-C plug. Regarding when it will be released, it is likely in the middle of the year, or in September 2023.

5. Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5

Samsung's folding screen cellphones have been quite popular in the past two years, so it's only natural that this series will continue in 2023. The champion, of course, is the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5, which rumors will also launch this year.

Rumors about the specifications of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 have not been widely circulated, but its presence is one that has been eagerly awaited by Samsung cellphone users in particular, and technology observers around the world.

6. Samsung Galaxy A54 5G

Complementing the lineup of Samsung 5G cellphones in the mid-range class, comes the Samsung Galaxy A54 5G which will compete in the price range of 5 million, because this cellphone is also reported to be launching in 2023.

Rumors currently circulating say that the Samsung Galaxy A54 5G will get an increase in battery capacity which is much larger than the Samsung Galaxy A53 5G. Regarding when the exact release date will be, until now there has been no leak.

 7. Xiaomi 13 Series

From the leaks of three Xiaomi smartphones that will be released in 2023, we suspect that one of them is the Xiaomi 13 Series, which consists of two models, namely the Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro, which were released in China in December 2022.

The specifications for the Xiaomi 13 Series are very fierce, starting from the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, the main camera with a resolution of 50 MP, a large RAM capacity of up to 12 GB for the highest model, to fast charging technology up to 120W. Regarding when the Xiaomi 13 Series will launch in Indonesia, again there has been no official leak regarding this. But it doesn't seem like it will last long, aka normal in the first or second quarter of 2023.

8. POCO X5 Series

Apart from Xiaomi, POCO, which has become an independent brand, will also launch its newest cellphone this year, namely the POCO X5 Series. This news was directly confirmed by POCO Indonesia's Head of Marketing, Andi Renreng, when Pricebook attended a media gathering event in January 2023.

Unfortunately, there is no official information regarding the specifications yet, but from several leaks that are currently available, the POCO X5 is said to have an AMOLED screen that supports a refresh rate of 120Hz. As a source of energy, there is a Snapdragon 778G processor which is supported by a 5000 mAh battery with 67W fast charging.

9. Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5

Like the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5, the Galaxy Z Flip5 is also rumored to be launched in 2023, of course, bringing improvements from the previous generation. Our guess is that this will be Samsung's Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 phone this year.

10. Samsung Galaxy A74 5G

Samsung always provides options for smartphone devices in various classes every year, and in 2023, another cellphone in the A series seems to be showing off, namely the Samsung Galaxy A74 5G. But unfortunately, this news is still confusing, because Samsung is rumored to be stopping the production of cellphones in the A7x series.
